The Ballarat International Foto Biennale will offer a comprehensive range of workshops as part of the BIFB'09 education program.
Workshops will cover a range of photographic processes, styles and application, including aesthetics, digital, low tech cameras,
and historical processes.
The more conventional photographic process workshops will take place at the Ballarat Uni School of Mines Campus at the
end of Lydiard Street South, while the alternative - or historical process workshops will take place at Gold Street Studios
in Trentham East.
The Ballarat program is still to be finalised, however booking for the Trentham Workshop series has already opened and
includes classes with internationally renowned Mike Ware from the UK and Karl Koenig from the USA.
Most of these workshops are fairly intensive and have small class sizes, so best get in early and book your place or you
may be left on the shelf. The Trentham fringe will also host a couple of not to be missed special events - "Science in
the Pub" with David Malin, and "The Gathering" large format weekend. For full details of the workshops on
offer, presenter profiles, costs, dates and booking procedures click on the link below.
