Message from the Mayor

Photography is one of the more accessible arts to the community. Anyone can try their skills and enjoy this wonderful world that records life and action of subjects that are close to individuals or are just interesting and exciting to the eye.

The initiative of Festival Director, Jeff Moorfoot and his enthusiastic team, who have already shown their enthusiasm for this event, will bring to Daylesford what promises to be an interesting, informative and exciting event.

I would encourage anyone who has any interest in using a camera, or enjoying the fine creative work of others, to join in this festival and reap the benefits that are offered.

The Daylesford Foto Biennale will be offering a new festival on the Australian arts calendar, with national and international guests, providing a time of critical acclaim and public appeal. The festival will explore all the various aspects of photography giving attraction to all types of photographers and people who just love this form of art.

Hepburn Shire Council is delighted to support the Daylesford Foto Biennale and welcomes anyone who will take part in this exciting event. Those who join us will want to come again. Congratulations to the organisers.
