Monkeys Wedding presents diverse and challenging new work from emerging artists. Work ranges across traditional documentary work with a personal twist, staged images which critique the concept of fashion, panoramas which reduce to a micro scale the puny constructions of humans against the epic scale of the landscape, personal evocations of maternal memory, disorienting isolated glimpses of the urban, the water-world, stitched landscapes, subjective visual renditions to the condition of addiction. Expect to find here a new generation who turns to photography as a source of image-making outside the mainstream.
