DONNA BAILEY
Donna Bailey has been exhibiting photographs of her children and their friends for over six years. Whilst the people and
places in her images have changed little over time, dialogues and negotiations between this photographer and her subjects
have continued to shift.
Recent accomplishments include being selected as a finalist in The 2004 Energex Arbour Contemporary Art Prize and the
NSW Art Gallery, Citigroup Private Bank Australian Photographic Portrait Prize.

PONCH HAWKES
Born in Melbourne in 1946, Ponch Hawkes is a Melbourne based freelance photographer. Early in her career she worked as a journalist
and photographer for Digger magazine. Since then her photographs have been published widely in Australian books, magazines
and newspapers. Hawkes has been the photographer for, and a member of, Circus Oz since its inception in 1978.
Her solo book "Best Mates" was published in 1990, She has collaborated on a further six published books. Hawkes
has worked on assignments in Cambodia, Ethiopia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Holland, England and the USA, amongst other countries.
Her photographs are in the Collections of the Australian National Gallery, National Gallery of Victoria, Queensland Art
Gallery, State Library of Victoria, City of Melbourne, Albury Regional Art Gallery and private collections in Australia and
elsewhere.

SUSAN PURDY
In recent years Susan Purdy has focused on an exploration of her Chinese heritage, making works that investigate notions of
origin, distance and difference of shadows.
