This is a 2 dimensional garden made for Hazel Hawke. Like many other
Australians photographer Julie Millowick has long respected and
admired Hazel Hawke. The documentary showing Hazel s journey into the realm of Alzheimer s Disease shocked and moved Julie. Hearing Hazel talk about the enrichment gardening brings to her life, Millowick decided to make Hazel a 2-dimensional garden. The botanical images have been made using silver gelatin and cyanotype photograms Small copies of the "garden" have been given to Hazel Hawke, and The Hazel Hawke Foundation has given Julie Millowick permission to use the above title.
